Volunteer
Open Door volunteers come from all walks of life. They consist of retired men and women, college, high school and secondary school students as well as unemployed people. They come to us from local houses of worship, civic groups, businesses and some individuals from the private sector. Without these dedicated volunteers, Open Door could not operate. They have a common desire to help people in need. At the present time we have 150 devoted volunteers helping Open Door fulfill its agency mission. Volunteers help us by:
|
Making food pick-ups
Unloading and storing deliveries
Stocking shelves and packing clients' bags
Recording client visit dates
Advocating for and provide clients with emergency funding
Mentoring and computer training children
To apply call 732-780-1089. Training will be provided.
